Role Overview

The Network Administrator will play a key role in maintaining the stability, security, and performance of the organization’s technology environment. This position blends hands-on end-user assistance with administration of servers, networks, and business-critical applications. The successful candidate will help ensure that infrastructure systems operate efficiently while contributing to ongoing improvements in reliability, security, and IT service delivery.


Key Responsibilities

End-User Experience & Technical Support

  • Serve as a primary contact for technical assistance, partnering with internal teams, vendors, and leadership to understand and resolve technology needs.
  • Troubleshoot and support Windows, macOS, and mobile devices used across the business.
  • Set up workstations, peripherals, docking systems, and related hardware.
  • Assist remote team members with connectivity, access, and device issues.
  • Provide clear updates on operational tasks and project progress.

Systems & Network Operations

  • Administer domains, servers, and directory services, including user permissions and account lifecycle management.
  • Support databases across various platforms and maintain high standards of data accuracy and reliability.
  • Manage backup processes, network security controls, and associated tools.
  • Track network performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements.
  • Stay informed on new technologies and evaluate potential upgrades.

Server, Endpoint & Device Management

  • Perform system updates, OS patches, and routine server maintenance.
  • Use NinjaOne (or comparable RMM solutions) to manage endpoints and monitor system health.
  • Install and maintain applications across user devices.
  • Uphold compliance with IT security rules, organizational policies, and best practices.

Service Management (ITIL-Aligned)

  • Apply ITIL principles to incident response, problem resolution, and change management.
  • Maintain accurate configuration and asset data (CMDB) across IT services.
  • Assist with root-cause investigations and post-incident documentation.
  • Support the achievement of service levels (SLAs) and operational KPIs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance service quality and user satisfaction.



Qualifications

Required

  • Background in network administration, end-user support, and server management.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and macOS systems.
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and service management processes.
  • Familiarity with NinjaOne or similar remote monitoring/management tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer-support skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • ITIL Foundation (or above)
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Cisco CCNA

Physical Requirements

This position may involve lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds. The role requires routine use of hands, arms, and upper-body strength when handling equipment or performing minor maintenance. Extended periods of standing, bending, kneeling, or seated work may be required.

Work Environment

This role may involve regular exposure to active mechanical equipment and moving parts. Noise levels may vary and can sometimes be high, depending on the location.

Schedule & Travel

This is a full-time, on-site role that includes work in office, shop, and customer environments. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Occasional travel, overnight stays, weekend work, or overtime may be needed based on operational demands.
