Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a field-based “road warrior” role focused on building relationships, driving sales, and expanding market presence across the United States. The ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding of life sciences research tools and a proven track record in outside sales or business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, engage, and develop relationships with new and existing customers in academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors.
- Promote and sell innovative research equipment and tools, focusing on tissue engineering applications.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions for prospective clients.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (technical, marketing, and operations) to ensure customer success.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
- Proven outside sales or business development experience in the life sciences, laboratory equipment, or biotech space.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly understand complex scientific tools and applications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%+ of the time) across the U.S.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
