Head of Sales - Healthcare SaaS
Remote (preferably East Coast based)
We're a high-growth healthcare technology startup spun out of a major health system after proving transformational results at scale. Our cloud-based platform is solving one of healthcare's most expensive operational challenges, and we've demonstrated $5M+ in validated savings at a flagship health system.
Now we're taking our proven solution to market nationwide, and we need a sales hunter to lead our expansion into new health systems.
This is a ground-floor opportunity with a proven product, reference customers, and significant upside for the right sales leader who wants to help build a fast-scaling company. You'll work directly with the CEO and play a critical role in shaping the future of the company.
The Role
As our Head of Sales, you'll be responsible for:

Driving new customer acquisition: Identifying and closing enterprise deals with health systems nationwide, consistently meeting or exceeding monthly revenue quotas

Managing the full SaaS sales cycle: Leading all stages from outbound prospecting and discovery through product demonstrations, proposal development, negotiation, and contract signature

Navigating complex buying committees: Building relationships with C-suite executives (CFO, COO, CSCO), operational leaders (Supply Chain, Procurement, Contracting, etc) and OR clinicians

Articulating value to diverse stakeholders: Clearly communicating the benefits of our cloud-based platform to both technical and non-technical audiences, including financial, operational, and clinical decision-makers

Building and managing territory: Developing robust pipeline through strategic prospecting, networking, industry events, and leveraging reference customers

Maintaining accurate forecasting: Managing sales pipeline and forecasts using CRM tools, providing visibility into deal progression and revenue projections

Demonstrating sales execution methodology: Applying proven sales frameworks to qualify opportunities, advance deals, and close complex enterprise transactions

Providing market intelligence: Sharing competitive insights, customer feedback, and market trends to inform product roadmap and go-to-market strategy
Travel: minimal
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of proven enterprise sales experience selling into hospital systems
- Proven track record with recognized brands in healthcare (SaaS, IT, or supply chain solutions)
- Complex SaaS or technology sales expertise - you've sold six-figure+ deals with 6-12+ month sales cycles
- Supply chain, OR operations, procurement, or contracting domain knowledge - you understand hospital operations and where cost savings matter
- Deep understanding of health system purchasing processes - you know how to navigate IDNs, GPOs, value analysis committees, and capital/operational budgets
- Established relationships with executive buyers - you have a network of C-suite and VP-level contacts in target health systems
- Demonstrated sales methodology - whether MEDDIC, Challenger, Solution Selling, or similar, you have a proven process for managing complex deals
- Executive presence and communication skills - comfortable presenting to the C-suite and building consensus across clinical and operational stakeholders
