Elevator Modernization Mechanic

Full Job Description

Seeking experienced Elevator Modernization Mechanic. Must have 3-5 years of experience in the elevator industry and ideally have a license. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are needed. Benefits include health insurance, company vehicle, etc. 

Job Summary

• Perform elevator modernization from cradle to grave. , technical troubleshooting and minor repairs on traction and hydraulic elevators and other industry related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections of elevators, and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Perform annual tests to ensure the proper operation of safety devices and compliance with all local and state codes.
• Troubleshoot problems on hydraulic elevators, traction elevators, and other elevator related equipment and make minor repairs as required.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the elevator industry. The aforementioned list is not intended to be all inclusive of all responsibilities and duties required.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 
• Minimum 5 years experience as an Elevator Mechanic.
• Current Elevator Mechanic License or capability of acquiring license 
• Knowledge and experience in the use of hand and electrical tools and other elevator industry related diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge and experience with elevator related electrical schematics, print reading, diagnostic and testing equipment.
