Job Title: Maintenance / Repair Supervisor

Position Summary
The Maintenance / Repair Supervisor is responsible for overseeing field technicians performing elevator maintenance, service, and repair work. This role ensures safe, code-compliant, highquality service delivery while maintaining productivity, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The Supervisor provides technical guidance, scheduling coordination, and performance oversight for maintenance and repair teams.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and support elevator maintenance and repair technicians.
- Work with Coordinator to assign and coordinate daily work schedules, callbacks, and repair jobs.
- Assist with parts ordering/quoting when needed (in the event that staff may be on PTO)
- Monitor technician productivity, quality of work, and safety compliance.
- Conduct ride-alongs, field audits, and job site inspections.
- Provide coaching, technical support (through coordination), and performance evaluations.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new technicians.
Operations Management
- Ensure preventative maintenance routes are completed on schedule.
- Oversee troubleshooting and repair of elevators, escalators, and related equipment.
- Review service tickets, repair quotes, and job documentation for accuracy.
- Coordinate major repairs and modernization support when required.
- Monitor inventory, parts usage, and job cost control.
- Support emergency response and after-hours service as needed.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure all work meets state and local elevator codes and industry standards.
- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Customer Relations
- Serve as a technical escalation point for customers.
- Support sales and account management teams with technical insight.
- Assist in resolving customer concerns and service issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with building owners, property managers, and inspectors.
Administrative Duties
- Approve timecards and review technician reports.
- Assist with budgeting and operational planning.
- Track KPIs such as callbacks, route completion, repair turnaround time, and safety metrics.
- Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of Supervising elevator maintenance/repair experience
- Mechanics license a plus but not required
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, traction, and MRL systems
- Familiarity with applicable elevator codes (ASME A17.1, etc.).

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders and work in hoistways and machine rooms.
- Comfortable working in mechanical spaces and varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
