Service and Repair Sales Representative

Secure and maintain service accounts and repair work and develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Exceed sales goals and quotas by utilizing company tools for service and repair growth and cancellation reduction.
• Manage service accounts by visiting customers within assigned territory; develop ongoing relationships with customers and build an understanding of their needs and wants.
• Develop capital plans for customers to address their short-and long-term building needs.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products and local construction, mechanical and/or elevator code requirements.
• Prepare repair job proposals by estimating labor and other job costs.
• Prepare service contract bids, including reviewing blueprints and surveying equipment when necessary and interfacing with operations personnel.
• Receive and respond to written and oral questions related to quoted repairs and service contracts..
• Monitor the status of current service contracts by visiting jobsites and customers within assigned territory.
• Contact service customers regarding contract renewal prior to contract expiration.
• Keep timely, well-organized records of sales activities including but not limited to proposals, bookings, losses and cancellations, using company-provided sales management software.
• Utilize tracking systems.
• Assist in A/R collection efforts to ensure prompt payment from customers
• Follow up with customers on all proposals.
• Visit project sites when necessary and work with operations department to ensure customer needs and deadlines are being met
• Other reasonably related business duties as required.

 REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience. 
• Preferred expience in construction, fire/safety, utilities, facilities, HVAC or elevator industry
• 3-5 years of related experience
• Requires a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
• Travel is expected; primarily in the local area
