Elevator Troubleshooter / Senior ServiceTechnician

Overview:
We are seeking highly skilled Elevator Troubleshooters for the Sarasota area. This role is focused primarily on troubleshooting, diagnostics, and solving difficult elevator problems, not running a standard maintenance route, but helping with routes when needed. This position will serve as the technical expert for the area — responding to problem units, assisting other technicians and/or management, and solving complex issues to keep equipment running and customers satisfied.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting Diagnostics
- Diagnose and repair complex elevator issues, including controllers, wiring, intermittent faults, and chronic problem units.
- Respond to problem calls and difficult service issues,
- Work across multiple customers and job sites to resolve ongoing problems.
- Serve as the lead troubleshooter for the area with extensive knowledge of using a laptop for troubleshooting.
Technical Support for Field Team
- Assist route technicians with difficult troubleshooting.
- Help reduce callbacks and repeated service issues.
- Support modernization jobs when technical expertise is needed.
- Help stabilize problem accounts and customer relationships.
Team Support
- Work closely with the Service Manager and Branch Manager to prioritize problem units.
- Be willing to assist with maintenance or repairs when needed.
- Help improve the technical ability of the overall team.
Requirements:
- CET (Certified Elevator Technician) required.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability.
- Experience working on a variety of elevator equipment and controllers.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems without supervision.
- Willingness to travel within Sarasota service area.
- Team-oriented mindset and strong sense of urgency.
