Overview
An established and growing provider of critical communication systems is seeking an experienced Elevator Technician who is looking for a slightly different path within the industry.
In this role, your primary focus will be the installation, service, and maintenance of emergency phone equipment in elevators and other key locations. This position is ideal for a licensed elevator mechanic who enjoys working independently, managing their own schedule, and interacting directly with customers.
Technicians operate from their homes, with routes that begin and end daily from their residence within the assigned market.
Responsibilities
- Install emergency phone and communication systems in elevators and other locations
- Perform service, maintenance, and repairs to ensure proper system functionality
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve them efficiently in the field
- Manage and execute installation projects from start to completion
- Coordinate directly with customers to schedule work and ensure satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Travel within the assigned region as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2+ years of experience installing or servicing elevator or emergency telephone equipment
- Current Elevator Mechanic License (required)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Clean driving record
- Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned market
- Ability to pass background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screening
