Task Force Talent is recruiting a defense acquisition specialist for a venture-backed software company that builds data and AI products for the defense market. The opening is in Arlington, Virginia.

Salary range: $125K to $220K, depending on experience level.

Full-time, based in Arlington.

U.S. citizens with an active security clearance (Secret or higher) only. We cannot sponsor clearances or visas.

The work

• Serve as the in-house expert on defense budget, program, and contract data sources, including their gaps and reporting delays.
• Review data and product results for errors that a person with acquisition experience would spot.
• Advise engineers and product managers on how each source should be read and shown to users.
• Write test questions and grade AI-generated answers on acquisition topics.
• Join customer calls with government and industry users to explain the data and its limits.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance (Secret or higher).
• Six or more years of experience in defense acquisition, budgeting, or contracting, in government or as a contractor.
• Working knowledge of requirements, PPBE, and the acquisition management process.
• A strong grasp of appropriations, program elements, budget line items, and contract structures.
• Familiarity with federal budget and contract data systems.
