Lead Construction Superintendent

Location: Newport News, VA | Salary: $175,000 – $195,000 + 25% Annual Target Bonus + exceptuanal benefits and vechile allowence.. Our client will relocate you and your family to the region.


Ready to lead high-impact field operations on major local projects? We are seeking two experienced Lead Construction Superintendents to drive top-tier safety, quality and production:


  • Role 1: New Construction Focus
  • Role 2: Large-Scale Renovations Focus


What You'll Do


  • Drive Field Operations: Lead all daily on-site production, subcontractor execution, and quality control from ground-breaking through turnover.


  • Master the Schedule: Build and manage Primavera P6 baseline schedules to hit critical path milestones and project turnover targets on time.


  • Champion Safety: Set the standard for zero-incident job sites, enforcing OSHA, HAZCOM, NFPA, and local safety standards.


  • Lead & Mentor: Direct and develop on-site Superintendents and Project Engineers.


  • Bridge Communication: Act as the primary on-site lead for owners, consultants, subcontractors, and inspectors.


  • Manage Logistics & Budget: Oversee site utilization plans, material logistics, pre-construction surveys, and project cost controls.


What You Bring


  • Experience: 8+ years of total construction experience, including 3+ years in a lead supervisory role.


  • Specialization: Proven track record in either New Construction or Large-Scale Renovations (Multifamily experience required).


  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with industry tools like Procore, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam, alongside MS Office.


  • Certifications & Education: OSHA 30 & First Aid/CPR preferred; Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture degree preferred.
