Join a respected, physician-led independent Family Medicine practice serving the Wilmington community. We are seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our collaborative clinical team and support high-quality, patient-centered primary care across the lifespan.


Our practice emphasizes continuity, prevention, and whole-person wellness while maintaining the close provider–patient relationships that define independent family medicine.


Position Highlights

  • 100% Outpatient Family Medicine — no hospital rounding
  • Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview

The Physician Assistant will work closely with supervising physicians and clinical staff to deliver comprehensive primary care services. Targeted start date of June 1, 2026.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient evaluations, physical exams, and medical histories
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Provide patient education and preventive care counseling
  • Accurately document care in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards


Qualifications/Education

Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program


Experience

  • 3–5 years of family medicine or primary care experience preferred
  • Current PA-C certification
  • Eligible for or holding North Carolina Physician Assistant licensure


Skills and Competencies

  • Strong diagnostic and clinical judgment
  • EHR proficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse patient panel in a fast-paced outpatient setting
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
