Certified Medical Assistant – Family Medicine Patient‑Centered Community Practice

Location: Spindale, North Carolina

Employment Type: Full-Time

They are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with strong clinical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional patient care. Work Schedule

Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Compensation

Hourly Rate: $16.00 – $18.00, based on experience


Position Highlights

• Full‑time role in an established, independent family medicine practice

• Work alongside MDs, PAs, and FNPs in a collaborative care model

Responsibilities

• Assist providers during patient visits and clinical procedures

• Administer therapeutic injections and vaccines (IM, SQ, intradermal) per protocol

• Perform and support clinical procedures, including Spirometry, nebulizer treatments, oxygen administration, EKGs, Holter monitor application, removal, and data processing

• Perform TB skin test placement and readings

• Support prescription processing, prior authorizations, referrals, and patient messages

• Provide clinical coverage when provider nursing staff is unavailable

• Manage medication samples, including coordination with pharmaceutical representatives and removal of expired medications

• Monitor and document refrigerator and freezer temperatures twice daily

• Conduct monthly narcotic inventory logs and medication expiration checks

• Clean and autoclave instruments weekly or as needed

• Perform additional duties as assigned by clinical leadership or management


Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required

• Previous experience in family medicine or primary care preferred

• Strong clinical and procedural skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment

• High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

• Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation standards
