About the Opportunity

An experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) is sought to join an independent, physician-owned group providing emergency medicine services in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

This opportunity allows Physician Assistants to practice in a community-based emergency department with supportive physician collaboration, strong autonomy, and flexible scheduling. The position offers a stable, team-oriented environment focused on clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and long-term professional growth.

Position Highlights:

• Independent Contractor (1099) status
• 140-bed community hospital
• 12-bed Emergency Department
• 12-hour shifts with collaborative physician and APP coverage daily
• 21,000 annual ED visits (~55 patients/day, ~1.5 patients/hour)
• Epic EMR

Qualifications

• Current Oklahoma PA license (or eligibility)
• Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required
• Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications (or ability to obtain)
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient, and compassionate patient care
