About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Insurance Underwriter to join our team, specializing in Property & Casualty insurance. What You’ll Do
As an Insurance Underwriter, you will:

Evaluate Applications: Review and analyze Property & Casualty submissions to determine risk acceptability, pricing, and coverage.

Assess Risk: Use established underwriting guidelines, actuarial data, and industry standards to make sound, profitable decisions.

Collaborate: Work closely with brokers, agents, and internal teams to clarify coverage details, explain underwriting decisions, and build long-term relationships.

Drive Results: Recommend appropriate policy terms and coverage while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Leverage Technology: Utilize Applied EPIC and other underwriting tools to manage workflows, documentation, and policy information efficiently.

Monitor Performance: Track portfolio profitability, watch for emerging trends, and recommend strategies to improve results.

Stay Current: Keep up with market conditions, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure competitive, compliant underwriting.
What We’re Looking For

Experience: 2–5 years of underwriting experience, primarily in Property & Casualty lines.

Technology: Proficiency with Applied EPIC is required.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of risk evaluation, insurance rating, and underwriting processes.

Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, attention to detail, and decision-making skills.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Collaboration: Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with brokers, agents, and colleagues.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field preferred.
