Superintendent – Commercial Construction

My client is a well-established general contractor with a strong track record delivering office, industrial, and retail projects across Arizona. They’re big enough to handle complex work but still operate in a lean, agile way that gives their superintendents real authority and visibility on the job.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily huddles and weekly safety talks.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and security on site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors using 3-week lookaheads.
• Manage daily logs, photos, and dust control records in Procore.
• Oversee deliveries and site logistics.

• Lead punch walks with PMs and design team.
• Drive completion of punch lists and turnover requirements.
• Ensure the jobsite is safe, clean, and inspection-ready.
• Provide “work-to-complete” lists at key milestones.
• Support final documentation and O&M turnover.

• Review drawings, logistics plans, and phasing.
• Participate in kickoff and preconstruction meetings with the team.
• Coordinate mobilization of fencing, signage, trailers, and temporary utilities.
• Implement site-specific safety and emergency plans.

• Own the master schedule and track critical path activities.
• Distribute weekly lookaheads to subcontractors and team members.
• Collaborate with PEs on procurement timelines.
• Create and implement recovery plans when needed.

• Enforce QA/QC standards on all phases of work.
• Conduct inspections before pours, installs, and closeout stages.
• Lead mock-up reviews and verify backing/rough-in requirements.
• Coordinate with PMs and design teams on field challenges.
• Manage as-builts and prep for final inspections.

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Strong field leadership and communication skills.
• Deep understanding of sequencing, scheduling, and safety.
• Hands-on Procore experience with drawings and QA/QC processes.
• Known for being respected by trade partners and field teams alike.
