Family Law Paralegal – Hybrid (Seattle, WA)

About the Role

Our Seattle-based family law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our team. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will bring experience supporting family law attorneys, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents related to divorce, custody, support, and protection orders.
  • Manage case files from inception through resolution, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court rules and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel with professionalism and discretion.
  • Prepare and organize exhibits for hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Conduct legal research and compile information for attorney review.
  • Maintain attorney calendars, track case deadlines, and schedule court appearances.
  • Provide direct client support, including gathering information, answering routine questions, and ensuring clients feel informed and supported throughout their case.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of paralegal experience in family law strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate (ABA-approved program preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Washington State family law procedures and local court rules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
