Position Overview:

We’re seeking a motivated, entrepreneurial Business Development Director / Account Manager to grow and manage client partnerships across creative, marketing, advertising, and digital industries. This role combines strategic sales with hands-on account management, working directly with our recruiting team to deliver best-in-class talent solutions.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit and is looking for the structure, support, and resources to grow and build their own book of business — with the long-term opportunity to lead and develop their own office in their market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop and manage strong client relationships across brands, agencies, and internal marketing teams.
  • Actively prospect, network, and secure new business opportunities in creative, marketing, and media spaces.
  • Consult with clients on hiring needs and offer customized staffing solutions.
  • Partner with recruiting team to ensure timely, accurate candidate delivery.
  • Conduct client meetings, negotiate contracts, and manage proposal development.
  • Manage pipeline activity, forecasts, and CRM documentation.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and market shifts.
  • Serve as a key driver in Clutch’s ongoing market expansion, with opportunity to build and lead your own city-based office.


Qualifications:

  • 3-7+ years of business development, account management, or client services experience within staffing, recruiting, or agency (creative staffing strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of creative, marketing, and digital roles and industries.
  • Proven track record of business development and growing accounts.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — self-starter who thrives on building something.
  • Strong relationship builder with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • CRM experience (Loxo, Bullhorn, Salesforce, etc.)

Compensation:

Commission-only structure. High earning potential and long-term growth incentives as business scales.
