Role: Associate Tech Director

Clutch is looking for an experienced Associate Tech Director for a client of ours.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic & Technical Leadership: Define and execute advanced technology and platform strategies aligned with client and agency business objectives.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate, recommend, and oversee the integration and optimization of technology platforms, including emerging solutions like GenAI, to enhance service delivery.
- Team & Workflow Management: Lead, coordinate, and ensure productivity across diverse onshore and offshore development teams, establishing best practices for development, code quality, and deployment methodologies.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact, providing technical expertise, translating complex concepts clearly to clients, and presenting innovative solutions in pitches and meetings.
- Regulatory Compliance & Quality: Oversee all technical phases (architecture, development, testing, deployment) and ensure strict compliance with PAAB, FDA, and HIPAA regulations, as well as ADA accessibility standards.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Account, Project Management, Creative, and Strategy teams to deliver fully integrated solutions, ensuring the Technology team is involved early in project scoping and kickoffs.
- Project Governance: Contribute to project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Minimum of 6 years in technical roles, including 3+ years in a leadership position within the pharma advertising sector or a related regulated field.
- Pharma Ecosystem Expertise (Mandatory): Extensive, hands-on experience with Veeva CRM and Veeva Vault (including PromoMats), and a thorough knowledge of PAAB (Pharmaceutical Advertising Advisory Board) guidelines.
- CMS & Marketing Automation: Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for website and content management, and experience with marketing automation tools like Marketo (or Eloqua/HubSpot). WordPress knowledge is a plus.
- Web & Infrastructure: Strong technical foundation in modern web technologies, including the LAMP stack, modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js), cloud services (AWS, Azure), and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines).
- GenAI Proficiency: Working knowledge of LLMs and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), with demonstrated ability to evaluate and operationalize AI solutions to boost productivity and delivery.
- Client-Facing & Leadership: Proven client-facing experience, exceptional communication skills to articulate technical vision, and a demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture.
