Clutch is looking for an experienced Medical Director for a client of ours, a pharmaceutical marketing agency.
Responsibilities:
- Scientific Strategy & Leadership: Serve as the primary medical expert for assigned therapeutic areas, ensuring all creative and strategic work is grounded in deep clinical insight and scientific accuracy.
- Product Launch Excellence: Lead the medical strategy for high-stakes pharmaceutical product launches, collaborating with Creative, Strategy, and Account teams to develop compelling, evidence-based narratives.
- New Business Development: Partner with agency leadership on pitches for new business, providing the "medical voice" that differentiates the agency’s strategic approach to prospective clients.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Translate complex clinical data and market trends into actionable insights for non-medical stakeholders (Creative and Client services) to drive brand growth.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted scientific partner to client medical affairs and marketing teams, participating in high-level strategic planning and advisory boards.
- Content Oversight: Oversee the development and review of promotional and educational materials, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and brand standards.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree Required: MD, PhD, or PharmD.
- Pharma Agency Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience working specifically within a healthcare advertising or marketing agency.
- Proven Launch Record: Demonstrated success in leading medical strategy for major pharmaceutical product launches.
- New Business Savvy: Direct experience contributing to successful new business pitches and participating in the agency growth process.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to pivot from high-level clinical data analysis to tactical implementation within a fast-paced agency environment.
- Strong Communication: Exceptional ability to present complex scientific concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
