Role: Freelance Associate Director, Experience Strategy (HCP Pharma)

Location: Remote (Must be located in and authorized to work in the US)

Duration: Approximately 2+ Months (40 hours/week)

Clutch is looking for a Freelance Associate Director, Experience Strategy with a pharma ad agency and HCP marketing experience. This role is ideal for a high-level strategist who can hit the ground running, immerse themselves quickly in complex clinical data, and drive immediate value across tactical planning and journey mapping initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sprint Leadership: Rapidly develop a deep understanding of the client’s business objectives and clinical/scientific landscape to guide experience strategy for brand development.
  • Journey & Ecosystem Mapping: Lead the development of comprehensive customer journey maps (Awareness > Trial > Continuation) and digital ecosystem strategies for HCP audiences.
  • Tactical Planning: Spearhead the tactical planning process, translating data insights into concrete strategies and overseeing the flow from ideation to final client-ready presentations.
  • Insight & Brief Development: Mine provocative insights to craft inspiring, high-impact tactical project briefs that drive creative and marketing excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the strategic linchpin between creative, account, medical, and analytics teams to ensure all communications are aligned and compliant.
  • Client Consultation: Serve as a trusted strategic partner, leading internal brainstorms and client workshops to simplify complex concepts and solve business-critical issues.
  • Data Storytelling: Lead the translation of complex data sets into persuasive narratives that justify strategic recommendations.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4–6+ years of specialized HCP marketing experience within a pharmaceutical or healthcare agency setting.
  • Strategy Toolkit: Proven expertise in Tactical Planning, Content/Tactical Mapping, Ecosystem development, and CRM Strategy.
  • Advanced Strategy: Hands-on experience with Next Best Action/Engagement Strategy and Field Force Activations.
  • Scientific Literacy: Ability to become deeply immersed in clinical and scientific content to ensure all strategies are medically grounded and commercially viable.
  • Communication Excellence: Superb persuasive writing and verbal skills; ability to "command a room" and simplify complex data for stakeholders.
  • Agility: Must be a self-starter comfortable with a fast-paced environment, and able to build trust-based relationships quickly.
  • Tools: Proficiency in digital collaboration tools (e.g., Miro, Mural) and data analysis frameworks.
