Job Responsibilities  

  • Deliver Training: Develop and lead both classroom and onsite technical training. Create structured material including manuals, training exercises, and presentations that will be continuously updated to meet learner needs and reflect product updates. 
  • Collect Technical information: Compile and adapt source information such as technical specifications, technical drawings, 3D models, pneumatic schematics, hydraulic schematics, manufacturer’s system/equipment documentation, physical surveys of procedures/times. 
  • Author Content: Follow identified authoring standards using traditional content development tools (e.g., InDesign, FrameMaker, Xpress, Word, etc.), or authoring platforms (XML-based). 
  • Facilitate Illustration development: Use applications (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, CatiaComposer, etc.), to manage illustration development performed by internal graphic designers and external graphic suppliers. 
  • Review Content: Use various applications (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Catia Composer,etc.). 
  • Manage Process: Follow documented process to review, correct, and integrate content after Client/Client representative provides feedback to ensure Client approval and satisfaction. 
  • Oversee Publication and Delivery: Publish final deliverables on the (CMS) platform. Archive source, process, and produced documentation following company standards. 
  • Report Progress and Status: Communicate timing and quality measurables (KPI) to the manager(s) in charge, following the applicable criteria. 
  • Client Interaction & Travel: Conduct business and training trips to Client and supplier facilities (within the United States) and participate in periodical progress meetings, workshop meetings, etc. when requested by Client(s). 

 

Qualifications  

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical training 
  • Background/experience in either mechanical or electrical fields & knowledge 
  • (Mechanical) Intermediate level skill in reading and interpreting hydraulic and pneumatic schematics 
  • (Electrical) Intermediate level skill in reading and interpreting electric, electronic, and functional schematicsX 
  • Knowledge of authoring platforms known as Content Management Systems (CMS) based on XML 
  • Knowledge of 2D graphic applications (illustrator, photoshop, etc.) needed to elaborate/rework graphics. 

 

Preferred 

  • An engineering degree is a plus 
  • Previous experience with the railway industry, the technical training fields, etc. is preferred
