Clutch is looking for a Director of Business Development or VP, Business Development with events and agency experience for a client of ours.

Responsibilities:

• Increase sales volume by identifying opportunities, qualifying leads, and developing a pipeline through industry networking.
• Partner with teams to create innovative proposals and strategies tailored to client needs.
• Build relationships with new accounts, ensuring client expectations are exceeded and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Implement marketing plans to achieve annual sales goals and gross profit targets.
• Utilize CRM to document all opportunities and activities, providing timely and accurate reports to stakeholders.
• Stay current on industry trends to act as a thought leader and advocate for the agency in the marketplace.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of sales experience within the agency and live events industries, with a proven track record of consistently meeting goals.
• Strong knowledge of selling business meetings, live events, production services, and field marketing.
• Strong sales skills, exceptional verbal and written communication, and the ability to present strategy, creative concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• MBA preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of the Midwest territory and a "hunter" mindset.
• Proficiency with CRM tools for prospecting.
• Book of business required for consideration.
