Role: Copywriter (Market Access)

Location: Remote (EST or CST- not open to CA)

Rate: up to $55/hr DOE

Clutch is looking for a Copywriter with Market Access experience from a pharma agency.

This person will be responsible for developing strategic, medically accurate, and regulatory-compliant content that communicates the economic and clinical value of pharmaceutical/biotech products directly to payers, managed care organizations, and health systems. The goal is to secure optimal formulary placement and patient access.

Key Responsibilities

• Payer Value Messaging: Lead the creation of compelling "Value Propositions" and messaging tailored specifically for market access and reimbursement audiences.
• Content Creation: Write diverse materials, including Payer Slide Decks (PIE decks), AMCP Dossier summaries, formulary kits, field reimbursement guides, and patient access program literature.
• Data Translation: Simplify complex Clinical, Scientific, and HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) data into clear, persuasive, and succinct language.
• Compliance: Ensure all content adheres strictly to pharmaceutical advertising regulations and successfully navigates the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review process, providing meticulous referencing and annotation.
• Strategy: Collaborate with Market Access, Marketing, and Clinical teams to align content strategy with brand and reimbursement goals.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of pharmaceutical copywriting experience, with a focus on market access and payer-facing materials.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of the US reimbursement landscape (Payers, PBMs, IDNs) and the ability to interpret clinical/HEOR data.
• Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, research, and MLR submission management skills.
