Role: Account Director, Experience Strategy - Pharma Agency

Location: Remote (MUST be based in the U.S./EST)

Rates: $45-55/hr DOE (w2)

Clutch is looking for an experienced Account Director, Experience Strategy (CX) with pharmaceutical agency experience for a client of ours.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic vision for large-scale pharmaceutical accounts, focusing on how experience design and digital innovation drive brand conversion and loyalty.
  • Architect comprehensive patient and HCP journeys that integrate digital, social, and physical touchpoints within a complex medical-legal-regulatory framework.
  • Partner with Creative, Tech, and Data teams to ensure strategy is pull-through into tactical execution and measurable performance.
  • Act as a primary consultant for senior-level clients, identifying unmet needs and proposing strategic experience solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Oversee the development of experience briefs, ecosystem maps, and personalization strategies based on deep audience insights and behavioral data.
  • Facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions with clients and internal stakeholders to define value propositions and product roadmaps.
  • Manage and mentor junior strategy team members, fostering a culture of curiosity and excellence in experience design.
  • Stay ahead of emerging health-tech trends and generative AI applications to keep the agency and its clients at the forefront of the industry.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in strategic planning, experience design, or digital strategy within a pharmaceutical advertising agency setting.
  • Proven track record of working on pharmaceutical or healthcare brands, with a solid grasp of MLR processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and clinical information into intuitive, human-centric experiences.
  • Expertise in omnichannel marketing, including CRM, web, mobile, and emerging digital platforms.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and navigating complex organizational structures.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using strategic frameworks and tools to map customer life cycles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
