Clutch is looking for an experienced VP, Group Account Director for a client of ours, a leading agency specializing in healthcare communications.
Responsibilities:
Executive Strategy & Vision Setting
- Establish the strategic roadmap for a defined group of client businesses, translating long-range planning into integrated solutions across all channels.
- Act as an executive advisor to client VP and C-suite leaders, offering sophisticated counsel on brand architecture, business dynamics, and portfolio management.
- Direct the creation and development of overarching brand positioning, narrative frameworks, and cross-channel program architecture.
- Spearhead the identification of major growth opportunities for the agency, defining competitive strategy and leading high-stakes pitch development.
Senior Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the principal executive liaison, cultivating and maintaining deeply trusted partnerships with senior-level client contacts.
- Proactively forecast client business needs, help define their critical priorities, and manage complex internal and external stakeholders to achieve consensus.
- Apply seasoned judgment to resolve elevated operational or strategic conflicts with efficiency and poise.
- Ensure a unified, cohesive delivery experience spanning creative, medical, planning, and tactical execution teams.
Commercial Leadership & Financial Health
- Be accountable for the financial performance of a book of business exceeding $8 million, ensuring robust revenue generation, strong profit margins, and disciplined forecasting accuracy.
- Define fiscal targets across managed accounts and collaborate closely with finance partners to enforce rigorous financial management.
- Identify opportunities for account expansion (organic growth) and oversee the strategic pursuit of newly identified revenue streams.
- Develop optimal client fee structures, resource allocation models, and internal operational blueprints to maximize profitability.
Organizational Influence & Excellence
- Engage with fellow senior leadership across all agency departments to harmonize service delivery, optimize operating frameworks, and foster capability development.
- Influence key decisions related to resource deployment, cross-departmental operations, and agency-wide planning efforts.
- Drive initiatives to streamline workflows, eliminate friction points, and enable scalable service delivery across multiple brands.
- Provide executive-level guidance and directional oversight to senior account management leads.
Qualifications:

12 to 15 or more years of professional experience in advertising, marketing, or specialized healthcare communications.
- Extensive history of managing large, highly intricate portfolios within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
- Superior skills in strategy, commercial negotiation, and executive communication.
- A documented history of successfully influencing senior external stakeholders and operating effectively at the executive business level.
- Demonstrable expertise in the fiscal management of multimillion-dollar client relationships.
- Proven capacity to distill complex challenges into clear, actionable direction for both clients and internal teams.
