Clutch is looking for an experienced Account Director for a client of ours. Our client is a full-service strategic marketing agency delivering meaningful and measurable results in the health sector. They are looking for a passionate, "high-science" expert to join their senior team and help drive agency growth.
Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership: Act as the primary point of contact for senior clients, operating as a "high-science" peer who can hold their own in technical discussions regarding oncology and diagnostics.

Account Leadership: Lead the successful delivery of fast-paced projects across key accounts (exceeding $2M yearly), ensuring work is impactful and strategically sound.

Client Management: Build deep trust with "tough" high-science clients, navigating complex regulatory environments and legal review processes with ease.

Project Oversight: Manage project budgets and staffing plans, proactively identifying budgetary concerns and resource challenges before they arise.

Quality Control: Review and approve all assets to ensure they meet rigorous brand standards and medical/scientific accuracy.

Growth & Mentorship: Drive organic growth within your accounts and contribute to new business pitches. While an IC role, you will provide mentorship and guidance to account managers and cross-functional teams.

Agency Building: Bring an entrepreneurial "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality to help codify best practices and improve agency processes as the team continues to scale.
Qualifications

Agency Pedigree: Must have experience working at both small and large pharma agencies. You understand the structure of a big firm and the hustle required in a boutique environment.

Scientific Acumen: Proven experience in a "High-Science" environment. You must be comfortable discussing complex clinical data and diagnostics.

Industry Experience: 10+ years of total experience with at least 4+ years specifically focused on Healthcare, Diagnostics, or Biotech clients.

Location: Must be based in the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut), with a strong preference for candidates in/near NYC.

Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills; ability to go "toe-to-toe" with sophisticated clients.

Passion: A genuine love for the craft of healthcare marketing and a desire to help build an agency from the ground up.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in Immunology, Neurology, Oncology, or Rare Disease.
- Familiarity with FDA guidance and promotional review processes.
