Clutch is looking for an experienced Director, Research and Content for a client of ours. This strategic leader will oversee the creation and execution of a premier thought leadership and owned-content program. Positioned at the convergence of energy, digital infrastructure, and capital markets, you will be responsible for transforming technical data into institutional-grade research and narrative assets that build long-term brand credibility.

Responsibilities:

• Editorial Leadership: Own the comprehensive research and content calendar; lead the development of the flagship annual thought leadership publication from concept through to launch.
• High-Level Content Creation: Produce a suite of long-form assets—including white papers, case studies, and strategic frameworks—as well as monthly short-form insights that reinforce market positioning.
• Research & Synthesis: Direct and conduct deep-dive research into energy, AI compute, and capital allocation themes, translating complex financial inputs into clear investor-grade narratives.
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with internal finance, energy, and technical teams to ensure messaging accuracy; manage external research partners and vendors to maintain high editorial standards.
• Narrative Support: Build internal "source of truth" briefs to ensure consistent messaging and provide executive-level narrative support for major company milestones.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee the drafting, fact-checking, and version control for all published content, establishing efficient workflows that move from idea to publication with senior-level polish.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor qualitative feedback and performance signals to continuously refine content topics and formats.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years in research, strategy, investor communications, management consulting, or high-end journalism.
• Institutional Writing: Demonstrated ability to produce clear, structured, and analytical writing that resonates with sophisticated, high-level audiences.
• Domain Expertise: Strong synthesis capabilities across complex sectors such as data centers, energy infrastructure, and capital markets.
• Project Management: Superior instincts for managing multiple workstreams, tight timelines, and complex review cycles without compromising quality.
• Executive Support: Proven experience supporting executive voices through speeches, op-eds, narrative memos, and social content.
• Personal Attributes: High level of judgment and editorial rigor; comfortable operating with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Technical Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong bias toward clarity and "finish."
