Role: Business Development Director - Experiential Agency

Location: Hawthorne, CA (LA area Hybrid)

Salary: $125-140k DOE + Commission Bonus!

Clutch is looking for a Director of Business Development from an experiential events agency for a client of ours.

Responsibilities:

• Increase sales volume by identifying opportunities, qualifying leads, and developing a pipeline through industry networking.
• Partner with teams to create innovative proposals and strategies tailored to client needs.
• Build relationships with new accounts, ensuring client expectations are exceeded and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Implement marketing plans to achieve annual sales goals and gross profit targets.
• Utilize CRM to document all opportunities and activities, providing timely and accurate reports to stakeholders.
• Stay current on industry trends to act as a thought leader and advocate for the agency in the marketplace.

Requirements

• 6-8+ years of sales experience within the agency and live experiential events industries, with a proven track record of consistently meeting goals.
• Strong knowledge of selling business meetings, live events, production services, and field marketing.
• Strong sales skills, exceptional verbal and written communication, and the ability to present strategy, creative concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience with full cycle sales, from sourcing leads through pitch and final delivery.
• MBA preferred, but not required.
• Experience in the entertainment sector a strong preference!
• Proficiency with CRM tools for prospecting.
