Hybrid/On-site/Remote: Hybrid (Primarily remote with a requirement of 1 day per week in-office, plus additional on-site meetings, client pitches, and events as required).
Salary: up to $140k DOE

Clutch is looking for an experienced Director of Business Development with experiential agency experience for a client of ours.
Responsibilities:
Pitch Leadership & RFP Management
- Collaborate directly with the SVP to steer RFPs from initial qualification through final submission and close.
- Spearhead day-to-day RFP workflows, ensuring strict adherence to timelines, deliverables, and cross-departmental coordination.
- Organize active pursuits to optimize efficiency and reduce operational friction for Creative and Production teams.
- Assemble clear, precise scoping documentation, financial inputs, and client-facing presentation decks.
- Uphold established pitch standards, scoping models, and pricing architectures while recommending workflow improvements to leadership.
- Keep internal stakeholders aligned on pursuit milestones, team responsibilities, and presentation standards.
Client Relations & Pipeline Maintenance
- Nurture proactive relationships across a diverse portfolio of new and existing clients.
- Maintain complete visibility and organization of the new business pipeline for executive review.
- Prepare for and actively participate in high-stakes pitch meetings alongside senior executives.
- Articulate the agency’s full-service production capabilities and creative depth with absolute confidence.
- Sync with Producers to pinpoint and convert repeat business and expansion opportunities.
Agency Narrative & Strategic Growth
- Partner with Marketing to ensure all business development assets accurately showcase the agency’s full-scale capabilities.
- Assist in crafting impactful case studies, proposal decks, and sector-specific narrative materials.
- Align with Producers and executives to build strategic growth roadmaps for high-value accounts.
- Support targeted sector initiatives alongside the SVP and account leadership by creating tailored outbound engagement and outreach assets.
- Uncover and foster valuable referral networks through industry consultants, partners, and professional connections.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience within experiential marketing, brand activations, or event production, with a proven background spanning account management, client services, or business development.
- Relationship Management: A track record of successfully managing multiple high-profile clients and complex projects simultaneously while fostering enduring professional partnerships.
- Pitch Savvy: Exceptional ability to pitch creative concepts, sell complex ideas, and proactively convert new business leads.
- Production Literacy: Deep operational understanding of the event production lifecycle, including creative development, fabrication, logistics, and technical execution.
- Financial & Tech Aptitude: Proficient in budgeting, cost estimation, and standard collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Trello, Slack, Mac OS).
- Soft Skills: Superior communication skills, relentless attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit that thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
