Role: Footwear Technician

Clutch is looking for an experienced Footwear Technician for a client of ours.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze fit diligently and accurately communicate corrections and specifications to overseas manufacturing facilities.
• Assist in the resolution of fitting problems and technical challenges throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Conduct thorough reviews of lasts, patterns, construction methods, and overall quality to ensure product integrity and adherence to standards.
• Perform risk assessment for new constructions and complex footwear designs.
• Evaluate technical components, including Blueprint and Mock-Up molds, from the initial technical drawing stage through to confirmation.
• Assist the footwear technical team in organizing and maintaining the internal Last Library.
• Utilize Illustrator and Photoshop for the creation of precise technical renderings and specifications packages.
• Travel overseas to manufacturing facilities as required to support development, quality control, and technical validation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in a Footwear technical role (e.g., Footwear Technician, Developer, or Engineer).
• Deep understanding and experience with last, outsole mold, and pattern standards in the footwear industry.
• Proven ability to analyze fit and clearly communicate complex technical feedback to factories.
• Proficiency in creating technical documentation and renderings using Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Some experience with 3D software and 3D printing is a plus.
• Must be able to travel internationally to manufacturing sites.
