Clutch is looking for an experienced VP, Media Relations with media agency experience for a client of ours.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee integrated media relations programs that align with client business objectives and brand narratives.
- Provide senior-level counsel to clients on reputation management, crisis communications, and executive thought leadership.
- Cultivate and maintain an extensive network of relationships with national, trade, and digital media outlets.
- Lead high-stakes media outreach and pitch development for major product launches, corporate milestones, and brand campaigns.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team of media specialists, fostering a culture of professional growth and excellence.
- Analyze media trends and performance metrics to optimize strategies and demonstrate measurable ROI to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional agency teams, including creative, social, and strategy, to ensure seamless campaign execution.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in media relations or corporate communications, preferably within an agency environment.
- Proven track record of securing significant coverage in top-tier business, consumer, and industry publications.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into compelling stories.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing diverse teams and large-scale client accounts.
- Deep understanding of the digital media ecosystem, including social media integration and influencer engagement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
