Clutch is looking for an experienced Sr. Account Director for a client of ours, a successful and growing healthcare marketing agency. This is a direct-hire role for a seasoned account leader ready to manage significant client relationships and drive strategic growth.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Director/Sr. Director-level clients, leading account portfolios of $2M+ with the ability to scale to $5M--$10M+.
- Operate as both a strategic partner and operational owner, managing all Scopes of Work (SOWs), budgets, resourcing, and financial risk mitigation.
- Lead day-to-day brand planning, ensuring seamless integration of market insights, brand strategy, and creative execution across workstreams.
- Guide cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, brand-aligned work that meets strategic standards and client objectives.
- Become the subject-matter expert in client regulatory processes, ensuring strategic and clean submissions through the MLR review process.
- Identify and secure organic growth opportunities within existing accounts, and actively support agency new business pitches and proposals.
- Model strong leadership, mentorship, and accountability, while codifying best practices for client service and account operations.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in account management roles, with 4+ years specifically in pharmaceutical/biotech/diagnostic clients (oncology or immunology experience a plus).
- Pharma Agency experience is required.
- Must have high science/HCP experience.
- Experience in Neurology and/or Oncology is a plus.
- Proven experience managing large accounts or portfolios with budgets exceeding $5M.
- Demonstrated expertise in healthcare/pharma marketing fundamentals (positioning, messaging, campaign development).
- Track record of growing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting agency pitches.
- High emotional intelligence, strong presentation skills, and comfort influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep familiarity with FDA guidance and the promotional review (MLR) process in highly scientific categories.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and a detail-focused leader who embodies ownership without ego.
