Clutch is looking for an experienced Account Supervisor with HCP & Rare Disease experience for a leading healthcare communications agency client of ours. This agency client specializes in developing strategic commercial and educational content for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. This role requires a strong leader capable of managing complex accounts, driving strategic execution, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality communications, particularly within the Rare Disease space and targeting Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
Responsibilities:
- Account Leadership: Serve as the primary client relationship manager for one or more key accounts, specifically focusing on HCP engagement strategies and Rare Disease communications.
- Tactical Execution: Oversee the day-to-day operations of campaigns, ensuring all projects—from digital materials and launch planning to educational programs—are executed flawlessly, on time, and within budget.
- Strategy & Planning: Work closely with Medical and Strategy teams to develop integrated communication plans, ensuring alignment between client marketing objectives and the agency's proposed creative solutions.
- Team Supervision: Manage and mentor junior account staff (e.g., Account Executives, Senior Account Executives), delegating tasks effectively, and fostering their professional growth.
- Financial Management: Monitor the financial health of assigned accounts, including forecasting, tracking profitability, creating and reviewing estimates, and managing the billing process.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of the regulatory landscape (e.g., PhRMA, FDA) to ensure all communications and projects meet necessary medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) review requirements.
- Client Growth: Proactively identify opportunities for organic account growth by understanding emerging client needs and pitching relevant agency services.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years of agency experience in Account Management within a healthcare advertising, medical communications, or pharma marketing agency.
- Therapeutic Expertise: Required experience working on HCP-focused communications and a strong preference for experience in the Rare Disease therapeutic area.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a successful internal account team and serve as the main strategic counterpart to senior clients.
- Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with comfort presenting complex information to senior-level pharma clients.
- Project Proficiency: Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous projects, complex timelines, and navigating the pharma MLR review process.
