Shift Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Rochester, NY

Shift Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights) / On-site | Full-time
Reports to: VP of Operations
Compensation: $105K - $125K annual salary, plus bonus
The Opportunity
A global, highly respected organization within the life sciences and advanced manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations within a critical production environment.
This is a leadership role for a professional who brings strong technical acumen, people leadership maturity, and operational discipline. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, operational continuity, and workforce development within a regulated manufacturing setting where performance, quality, and safety are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage shift-based maintenance operations with full accountability for performance, safety, and compliance
- Develop, coach, and mentor maintenance professionals, building bench strength and engagement
- Drive execution and continuous improvement of preventive, corrective, and reliability-focused maintenance strategies
- Provide decisive leadership during unplanned downtime, escalations, and off-shift events
- Champion root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements to prevent recurrence
- Ensure strict adherence to GMP, safety, and operational standards
- Oversee work planning, scheduling, documentation, and audit readiness
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align maintenance priorities with production and business objectives
- Contribute to departmental planning, workforce development, and resource optimization

Must-Have Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting maintenance operations in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of preventive maintenance and equipment reliability principles.
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
- 2+ years of people leadership experience.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience supporting production equipment.
- Exposure to reliability-centered maintenance or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulated documentation and audit environments.
