  • Lead or support the mechanical design of precision assemblies using SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling tools.
  • Integrate components and subsystems into robust mechanical housings using proper alignment and tolerance strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers to ensure system layouts meet performance, thermal, and mechanical requirements.
  • Perform simulation and finite element analysis (FEA) using software to validate mechanical and thermal integrity.
  • Interpret and apply results from structural, thermal, and performance analyses to guide design decisions.
  • Develop and validate thermal models for high-performance equipment or imaging systems.
  • Design custom fixtures and tooling for precision assembly, test, and environmental validation.
  • Prepare and present technical review materials to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support transitions from design to prototype and volume manufacturing.
  • Assist in evaluating and selecting materials, vendors, and suppliers based on technical capability and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality, throughout the product lifecycle.
