Inside Sales Manager: Oil & Utilities
Role Overview
The Inside Sales Manager will lead a team of Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) to drive revenue growth, manage renewals, and expand market share within the energy sector. This role is responsible for coaching the team on technical product knowledge (fuel types, grid services, or HVAC solutions) while maintaining a rigorous, data-driven sales process.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of inside sales professionals. Conduct weekly 1-on-1s and pipeline reviews.

Sales Strategy: Develop and execute outbound call strategies to target commercial industrial accounts, municipalities, or residential sectors.

Pipeline Management: Oversee the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to ensure accurate forecasting and lead tracking.

Contract Negotiation: Guide the team through complex pricing structures, including fixed-rate vs. variable-rate energy contracts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Logistics and Operations to ensure supply availability matches sales promises.

KPI Tracking: Monitor metrics such as daily call volume, conversion rates, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer churn.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years in inside sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership/management role.

Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in Oil & Gas, Renewables, or Utility services is highly preferred.

Technical Literacy: Proficiency in CRM software and data analytics tools.

Communication: Ability to explain complex energy market trends or regulatory changes to both the team and clients.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
90-100K a year + bonus/commission
