Position Summary
The IT HRIS Technology & Integration Specialist plays a critical role in building, maintaining, and optimizing Company HR technology landscape through expert configuration, secure integrations, and continuous process improvement. This position serves as the technical liaison between HR, IT, and third-party vendors—ensuring our HR platforms are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals. By supporting automation, data governance, and employee-facing system reliability, the IT HRIS Technology & Integration Specialist strengthens Company ability to deliver affordable, innovative medication to 300 million people living healthier, happier lives.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Leads the technology architecture, design, configuration, and deployment of HRIS platforms and modules—including core HR, benefits, compensation, and timekeeping systems—ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Designs and manages secure integrations between HRIS and enterprise platforms (e.g., payroll, applicant tracking systems, finance, IT, and identity access tools) using middleware (e.g., Boomi, Mulesoft), APIs, SFTP, and vendor-native connectors.
- Serves as the primary technical point of contact for HRIS issues and maintenance, providing Tier 2–3 support, troubleshooting data flow errors, and managing patch and release testing.
- Builds and maintains system documentation, including data maps, integration specs, SOPs, change logs, and technical guides to support transparency, consistency, and scalability.
- Drives automation and workflow optimization by identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline manual processes, reduce errors, and improve the user experience across HR systems.
- Enforces data governance, system security, and role-based access controls while supporting compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and internal information security policies.
- Partners with HR, IT, Legal, and Cybersecurity to execute technical workstreams for cross-functional initiatives, translating business requirements into functional system enhancements.
- Supports testing and change management processes by leading unit, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT), and contributing to user documentation and training resources.
- Stays current with HRIS technology trends and emerging tools, recommending scalable, innovative solutions that support Company’s continued growth and employee experience goals.

- Proficient in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors) and integration tools such as Boomi, Mulesoft, or vendor APIs, with a strong understanding of data transfer protocols and system mapping.

Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR technology or HRIS roles, with demonstrated success in platform integration, project delivery, and system optimization across multiple HR domains.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, human resources, or a related technical field; equivalent experience will be considered.
Platform-specific certifications in HRIS or HCM systems such as Workday, UKG, ADP, or SAP SuccessFactors preferred; integration and project management certifications such as Boomi Developer, Mulesoft, Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) preferred; certifications related to data privacy and compliance, such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) preferred.
