RELIABILITY ENGINEERING PROGRAM MANAGER

Our Client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Reliability Engineering Program Manager to lead and develop a team of reliability engineers and technicians. This role is responsible for establishing reliability strategy, managing day-to-day team execution, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across equipment, components, and process reliability.

The Reliability Engineering Program Manager will oversee the application of reliability analysis techniques, data collection, and performance evaluation while ensuring the team delivers actionable insights and measurable improvements. This position requires strong leadership in directing investigations into equipment performance issues, prioritizing corrective actions, and balancing uptime, maintenance costs, and production impact.

This individual will play a critical role in building a high-performing team, standardizing reliability practices, and ensuring alignment with operational and customer requirements.

Preferred Experience: 5+ years in reliability engineering, with direct supervisory or team leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of reliability engineers and technicians, including performance management, development, and workload prioritization

• Establish and drive reliability engineering strategy, goals, and key-performance-indicators.

• Develop and direct the reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs

• Provide technical guidance and oversight on reliability analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions

• Oversee maintenance reviews, vulnerability assessments, and production loss investigations conducted by the team

• Ensure the team utilizes data-driven methodologies to identify root causes of failures and implement sustainable solutions

• Drive improvements in asset reliability with a focus on increasing uptime, reducing failures, and lowering operational costs

• Oversee the development and implementation of optimized maintenance strategies within the CMMS

• Coordinate with production and operations leadership to align maintenance planning and scheduling

• Review and approve technical reports, analyses, and customer deliverables prepared by the team

• Ensure standardization of processes such as FMEA, design reviews, and reliability assessments

• Support project estimation, quoting, and resource planning activities

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline preferred

• Proven experience managing or leading engineering and/or technical teams

• Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles and best practices

• Working knowledge of applicable international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO)

• Experience leading and reviewing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

• Strong statistical analysis and data interpretation skills related to reliability and durability

• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities

SOFTWARE TOOLS

• Experience with SAP, Ultrapipe / PSAIM, pi, or other CMMS programs

• AutoCAD experience a plus

• SolidWorks experience a plus

GENERAL

• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams

• Mechanical and/or hydraulic experience preferred

• Experience with project estimation and quoting

• Ability to oversee and support onsite operations as needed

• Experience leading FMEA processes and design reviews

• Familiarity with code compliance and regulatory standards
