Backoffice Developer Intern - Data Science & AI Team – Summer 2026

Location: Bolingbrook, IL | Pay: $22–$25/hour | Schedule: Full-time, Hybrid (Tue–Thu in-office)

What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineering Intern for the Data Science & AI team, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to real projects that matter. You’ll:

• Create and maintain Microservices that prompt and interpret AI models.
• Develop Web APIs that communicate with the frontend.
• Work with both Python and C# to manage direct AI integration with some of our Backoffice services.
• Partner with your mentor and team to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• Returning to school for the full 2026/2027 academic year as a junior or senior in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
• Experience with C# required.
• Experience with SQL and Python preferred.
• Understanding of Microservices Architecture and REST APIs.
• A problem-solving mindset and passion for quality.
• Willingness to take initiative, embrace ambiguity, and learn fast.
• Interest in technology and innovation; enthusiasm for rail or transportation is a plus.
