About the Role
We're looking for a passionate, bilingual (EN/ES preferred) Community Outreach & Social Media Intern to help us reach our goal of 500 verified CHWs and Doulas by January 31, 2026. You'll be the voice of WePair in digital spaces and community networks, building trust and excitement around our platform. This role combines grassroots outreach, social media management, and community building—perfect for someone who loves connecting people and telling impactful stories.
You'll work closely with our Chief Community Impact Officer and Community Engagement Manager.
What You'll Do:
Social Media Management (40%)
- Create and schedule engaging bilingual content (EN/ES) across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms
- Respond to comments, DMs, and inquiries from prospective CHWs and Doulas
- Share worker success stories, job opportunities, training announcements, and platform updates
- Track social media metrics (engagement, follower growth, conversion rates)
Community Outreach & Recruitment (40%)
- Conduct outreach to CHW/Doula associations, training programs, and community-based organizations
- Identify and engage with relevant Facebook groups, professional networks, and community forums
- Make calls and send emails to prospective workers and community partners
- Host or support virtual info sessions and community roundtables
- Build and maintain a database of community contacts and partnerships
Content Creation & Storytelling (20%)
- Interview CHWs and Doulas to capture their stories and career journeys
- Create simple graphics, testimonials, and posts that resonate with our community
- Draft recruitment materials and presentation decks
- Support the development of community newsletters and email campaigns
What You Should Have:
Required:
- Passion for health equity, community health, and elevating frontline workers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Self-starter mentality—you take initiative and follow through
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Receptivity to feedback and commitment to continuous improvement
Preferred (but not required):
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Familiarity with Canva, social media scheduling tools, or basic graphic design
- Experience with community organizing, grassroots outreach, or healthcare settings
- Knowledge of CHW/Doula roles or lived experience in community health
- Familiarity with Asana, Slack, or CRM tools
