Sur-Ryl Marketing is a full-service story-led marketing agency founded in 2009 and based in Los Angeles. We serve government, nonprofit, and corporate clients with integrated marketing strategy, brand and messaging, campaigns, digital communications, and events. As our Marketing Coordinator Intern, you'll work alongside our agency founder and Chief of Staff to keep client work moving and the agency operating at its best. You'll support real campaigns for real clients across government, nonprofit, and corporate sectors, and complete your internship with a showcase-ready portfolio.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Project Coordination
• Monitor our project management platform (Dart) daily, flagging tasks that are overdue or stalled • Assist with task intake, status updates, and board organization across active client projects • Support the Chief of Staff with deliverable tracking and deadline reminders to the internal team
Creative Review Management
• Monitor and organize creative assets in our proofing platform (PageProof)
• Ensure correct file naming, consistent review stage setup, and deadline reflection. • Track review cycles and flag delayed responses
Client Reporting Support
• Pull metrics from Google Analytics, social media dashboards, and email platforms • Assist with compiling data and assembling client-facing monthly marketing reports • Align reports with Sur-Ryl Marketing brand standards
Marketing Coordination
• Support active campaigns, content calendars, and asset organization across client accounts • Assist with award submissions, conference research, and support agency thought leadership • Help maintain organized shared drives, templates, and internal resource libraries
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (junior, senior, or graduate student preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
• Clear, professional written communication
• Comfortable learning and working in new digital tools (we will train on our specific platforms) • Proactive and self-directed with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
• Bonus: experience with project management tools, Adobe or Canva, Google Workspace, or marketing platforms
WHAT YOU'LL GAIN

PROGRAM DETAILS
Start Date: Negotiable
Duration: 8 weeks
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Location: Primarily remote, with periodic in-office work sessions
Compensation: $17.87/hr, subsidized through the County of Los Angeles via LA-Tech.org

LA County Subsidy Eligible Position Information
Subsidy roles require students to have an LA County based address, and be between the ages of 18-24 years old. Once you are placed in a subsidy eligible position you will be required to present the following documents to processed in a Youth Center (AJCC):
