About Flip4Good

Flip4Good is a nonprofit that uses interior design as a behavioral health intervention to support vulnerable populations rebuilding after incarceration, domestic violence, trafficking, and deep housing insecurity. We work inside transitional housing facilities to transform temporary units into stable, sensory-conscious environments that support healing and forward movement. We do this by adjusting lighting, choosing calming paint colors, and selecting furniture that makes the space feel grounded and functional. Every element is chosen to reduce stress and make daily life easier for the resident.

We lead the full redesign process—from space assessments and design plans to sourcing, volunteer build days, and final installation. Each project is built in partnership with a housing provider and shaped by the needs of the individuals and families who will live there.

Our work is rooted in behavioral health research and driven by a belief that physical environments matter. A well-designed space won’t solve everything, but it can create the conditions for healing, safety, and daily stability.

About the Role:

Flip4Good is a small, hands-on team building systems, programs, and spaces designed to support people in transition. The work moves quickly, and there are always multiple projects in motion at the same time. This position adds capacity where it’s most needed: organizing information, preparing materials, supporting logistics, and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. You will report directly to the Founder + Chief Executive Officer and work across the organization.

You will have real responsibility for helping keep projects on track through research, internal coordination, document preparation, and operational support behind our programs, partnerships, and events. The role is designed for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks with clear direction.

This position is a good fit for someone who wants exposure to social-impact operations, design-adjacent work, and the structure behind community-facing programs. You will not be asked to develop strategy or messaging. Your contribution will come from execution, follow-through, and making sure the team has what it needs to move forward.

What will you do:

  • Conduct research to support active projects, partners, community programs, and student initiatives
  • Assist with preparing documents, spreadsheets, checklists, and materials for meetings, workshops, and events
  • Organize digital files, maintain updated folders, and ensure information is structured and easy to find
  • Track tasks, follow up on action items, and help keep project timelines moving
  • Support logistics for community events, volunteer days, and internal planning sessions
  • Draft notes, simple summaries, or structured recaps based on provided materials
  • Gather information needed for internal planning, outreach, or program operations
  • Assist with scheduling coordination or inbox organization as needed
  • Participate in internal meetings and document key takeaways
  • Maintain a log of completed work, learnings, challenges, and items that require clarification

What should you have:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and move tasks forward with limited supervision
  • Good judgment and comfort making decisions within clear boundaries
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Comfort working in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
  • Ability to stay focused and steady in fast-paced environments
  • Interest in community-impact work, design-adjacent environments, or social sector operations
  • Curiosity, follow-through, and a willingness to learn
