Apply for this job

Vice Versa Strategy is a boutique digital marketing agency helping small brands make a big impact. We specialize in email marketing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and web development—mainly for streetwear and CPG brands.

Founded by Emily Vernon, a marketer with 13+ years of e-commerce experience, we bridge the gap between big-brand strategy and small-business hustle. Our superpower is translating corporate-level tactics into simple, effective marketing moves for brands.

We keep things lean, smart, and creative. Our work lives at the intersection of style and strategy—where scroll-stopping content meets performance-driven results. We’re currently building our team and looking for interns who are hungry to learn, excited about branding and storytelling, and ready to get hands-on with real client work.

Email Marketing  Intern

We’re looking for a motivated Email Marketing Intern to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, creative role where you’ll learn how real retention marketing works—from campaign strategy and segmentation to design, copy, and analytics. You’ll work directly with the founder and get exposure to multiple brands, content styles, and creative testing.

What will you do:

  • Assist in planning, building, and scheduling weekly email campaigns in Klaviyo or Mailchimp
  • Help brainstorm content calendars, subject lines, and A/B test ideas
  • Update and maintain audience segments, lists, and flow automations
  • Pull and organize campaign performance data (open rate, CTR, revenue)
  • Support creative production—sourcing visuals, resizing graphics, or coordinating with design
  • Research trends in email marketing, e-commerce, and pop culture for campaign inspiration
  • Contribute to internal process docs and campaign recaps

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong interest in e-commerce, fashion, or consumer brands
  • Familiarity with platforms like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Shopify, or Canva is a plus
  • Basic understanding of marketing metrics (CTR, AOV, deliverability)
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and attention to visual detail
  • Organized, self-driven, and comfortable juggling multiple brands
  • Bonus: experience with Figma, Google Sheets, or copywriting for social/email

What You’ll Gain:

  • Hands-on experience running real campaigns for active brands
  • Mentorship from the founder with 13+ years in e-commerce and retention marketing
  • Training on Klaviyo, Shopify, and performance tracking
  • Portfolio-ready work and client-facing exposure

What should you have:

  • Working knowledge of Klayvio, Mailchimp or similar platforms
  • Strong creative thinking skills and the ability to think conceptually
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited instruction under tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to demonstrate brand voice
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Have a portfolio of writing or design work (school work is fine!)
  • You’re a strong writer with a knack for clean, on-brand copy
  • You’re comfortable in Canva and open to feedback on design

Bonus!

  • You’re curious about e-commerce, marketing, and growing small brands
  • Know what makes a subject line clickable
  • Are low-key obsessed with emails from brands you love
