Marketing & Business Development Intern
Are you a creative, organized, and motivated individual looking to gain hands-on experience in marketing, business development, and community-building? Mindfulness with Desiree, a holistic wellness and education platform, is seeking an intern to help us grow and scale our mission of teaching mindfulness as a life skill to students, professionals, and communities.
About Mindfulness with Desiree
In today’s world, both adults and children are living in constant overdrive—overwhelmed, overstimulated, and disconnected from themselves. Mindfulness with Desiree blends science and creativity—sound healing, meditation, writing, and art—to help people regulate their nervous systems, quiet mental noise, and make decisions from a place of clarity and calm.
We’ve partnered with companies like Levi’s and Chipotle, delivered youth mindfulness programs, and created workshops that measurably improve focus, emotional regulation, and well-being. Our goal is to scale into a tech-enabled wellness platform that blends digital tools, live community experiences, and creative healing practices.

This internship offers a rare opportunity to work directly with the founder on a hands-on, hybrid role where you can:
● Build social media content (Instagram Reels, posts, stories, Pinterest boards)
● Design graphics, presentations, and decks using Canva
● Edit videos for social media, workshops, and promotional content
● Research ideal customer profiles (ICPs) and sales leads
● Assist in creating promotional materials like brochures and pamphlets
● Collaborate on branding elements, including logos and decks for workshops
● Help organize systems, workflows, and marketing materials
● Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and community engagement
What We’re Looking For:
● Comfortable video editing skills (essential for social media and promotional content)
● Comfortable with Canva skills (social media, decks, graphics, logos)
● Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
● Interest in wellness, mindfulness, and community building
● Help manage and improve our Wix website (updating pages, optimizing landing pages, and organizing digital products)
Bonus Skills:
● Experience with Instagram, Pinterest, and other social media platforms
● Interest in creative branding and content strategy

More Details:
● Location: Remote/Los Angeles, CA (Flexible, with occasional in-person support for events or content capture)
● Pay: $17.87/hr
● Duration: 160 hrs
LA County Subsidy Eligible Position Information
Subsidy roles require students to have an LA County based address, and be between the ages of 18-24 years old. Once you are placed in a subsidy eligible position you will be required to present the following documents to processed in a Youth Center (AJCC):
NOTE: IF YOU WERE ALREADY PLACED IN A SUBSIDY ELIGIBLE POSITION, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR ANOTHER SUBSIDY ELIGIBLE POSITION UNTIL JULY 1ST.
