Who Are You?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Intern to join our team. This internship is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. As an Assistant Intern, you will provide support to various departments, assist with daily tasks, and contribute to the smooth functioning of the organization. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities

Operations & Admin Support: Support the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving fintech startup — including scheduling, inbox management, internal communications, and maintaining organized digital files and systems.

Research & Data Management: Conduct market, industry, and competitor research to support product, marketing, and partnership strategies. Maintain accurate records, databases, and spreadsheets to help drive informed decision-making.

Document & Presentation Preparation: Assist in creating investor materials, pitch decks, reports, and other strategic documents that communicate Kirabo’s mission, impact, and growth plans.

Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional team members to track milestones, gather insights, and support execution on high-priority projects — from product launches to community programs.
- Event & Activation Support: Help plan and execute brand events, workshops, and launch activations – including managing logistics, coordinating RSVPs, and providing on-site support to create exceptional guest experiences.

Community & Member Support: Provide thoughtful first-line support for inquiries from Kirabo’s early users, partners, and community members — ensuring they feel valued and connected to our mission.

Team Collaboration & Process Building: Work closely with Kirabo’s founders and team to streamline workflows, improve operational systems, and help build the foundation of a world-class organization from the ground up
What you should have:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with office software.
- A willingness to take on new tasks and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well with a diverse team.
- An enthusiastic attitude, with a passion for learning and contributing to a growing company.
Subsidy Role Information
Subsidy roles require students to have an Los Angeles County based address, and be between the ages of 18-24 years old. Once you are placed in a subsidy eligible position you will be required to present the following documents to processed in a Youth Center (AJCC):
- Identification (School or State ID)
- Social Security Card (Please ensure that it is signed)
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Los Angeles County Residency, including a postmarked date (Report Card, Transcripts, or any mail that is under the applicant’s name)
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination OR valid medical/religious exemption
- Work Permit (Required for Youth between the ages of 16-17 only)
- The Youth Center (AJCC) WILL BE PAYING YOU for 160 completed hours.
- You will be required to submit Timesheets to your YOUTH CENTER (AJCC) to be paid for your time worked.
*NOTE IF YOU WERE ALREADY PLACED IN A SUBSIDY POSITION (ACADEMY/INTERNSHIP). YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR SUBSIDY ROLES UNTIL JULY 2025*
