About CareerVillage.org

CareerVillage.org is a fast-scaling nonprofit at the intersection of education, equity, and technology. We believe everyone deserves access to high-quality career guidance.

You will help tell the story of Coach, our AI-powered career coaching platform, and CareerVillage.org, our flagship crowdsourcing platform supporting millions of learners, over 200,000 professionals, and thousands of teachers. We are a remote-first organization, and this opportunity runs June 22, 2026 – August 28, 2026, but can be flexible with the dates.

About the Internship

You'll get real ownership and mentorship while building skills in content marketing and digital communications for a mission-driven organization. You will draft and publish content across our key channels, working closely with the marketing lead to keep our audience engaged and informed.

What you'll do

  • Draft blog posts, social media posts, and email newsletters
  • Publish blog content on our website
  • Schedule and post content on social media
  • Build and send email newsletters via Mailchimp
  • Conduct interviews with product users to develop user stories and case study material
  • Support basic marketing analytics, such as tracking content performance and reporting on key metrics
  • Communicate progress and results clearly to teammates

What you'll learn

  • How to create compelling content for a mission-driven product and nonprofit audience
  • How to use AI assistants (without outsourcing your judgment) to speed up drafting and iteration
  • How to manage content across multiple channels: blog, social, and email
  • How to conduct user interviews and turn them into engaging stories
  • How to track and interpret basic marketing metrics to inform content decisions
  • How to work in collaboration with multiple teams and contexts

About you

We know no candidate will meet 100% of the qualifications. We value lived experience and transferable skills as much as formal experience. That said, the strongest candidates will bring:

  • Mission alignment and interest in using marketing to drive social impact
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to voice, tone, and audience
  • Experience and comfort using AI assistants (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) with a focus on accuracy and reliability
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and an eye for what makes content engaging
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills

Location & Timeline

This is a remote internship opportunity. Candidates must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship and able to work standard business hours, with reliable availability Monday–Friday during 9:00 AM–5:00 PM PT for meetings and collaboration.

What our hiring process looks like

  • Application review
  • 15-minute screening interview
  • 30-minute interview with the team, including a short, role-relevant exercise
  • Final selection
