LA's tech industry was built on people who opened doors for others. Be that person for the future of work.

Our mission: LA-Tech.org connects the Los Angeles tech community with untapped talent, opening doors to internships, jobs, and careers for the next generation of leaders.

"Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not."

In Los Angeles, young adults with real skills and real drive are being shut out of the tech industry. Not because they can't do the work, but because they don't have the network, the access, or the foot in the door. That's the access gao. And it's what LA-Tech.org exists to close.

We connect LA's tech community with untapped local talent -- building the relationships, paid experiences, and cohort-based support that turn potential into careers. Since 2021, we've placed 1,800+ people in paid tech positions across Greater Los Angeles.

Your expertise is part of how that happens!

Our interns represent the diversity of LA.

Who you'll be supporting

LA Tech Interns and Scholars are LA-based young adults (18-24) who are:

  • Coming from all walks of life in terms of education (enrolled in community college, a Cal State, vocational training, or are self-taught learners)
  • From communities historically disconnected from the tech industry -- including Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, foster youth, housing-insecure, and justice-impacted young adults
  • Entry-level and career-curious -- eager to learn, ready to work

How we work

LA Tech doesn't just connect people to jobs. We build what makes careers last:

  • Social Capital, Not Just Skills: Interns and Scholars get direct access to industry professionals like you. The relationships you build here open doors that resumes alone don't.
  • Paid Experience, ALWAYS: Every placement LA-Tech.org supports is paid.
  • Cohort-Based Support: Our Interns and Scholars grow together, building peer networks alongside professional ones.
