About Hyey

Hyey (hyeycare.com) is a HIPAA-compliant caregiver coordination app built for the millions of working adults managing care for aging parents while maintaining their own careers and families, also known as the “sandwich generation.” We were founded by two women who navigated this challenge while working in the television industry, and we’re building the platform we wished existed then.

We’re a lean, mission-driven startup in pre-launch mode. We’re based in Los Angeles and growing fast. This internship is a chance to get in early, make a real impact, and work directly alongside our founding team.

About the Role

We’re looking for a driven and creative Growth & Outreach Intern to help Hyey build its presence from the ground up. This isn’t a “watch and learn” role. You’ll have the opportunity to lead our social media presence, identify and pursue partnership opportunities, and support our SEO and GEO content strategy. Think of yourself as the person who helps the world discover Hyey.

Ideal for someone who lives on social media, loves connecting with communities, and understands how content drives awareness and trust, especially in health, wellness, or caregiving spaces.

Social Media Leadership

• Lead our social media presence. Develop a content calendar and posting cadence with an emphasis on the specific platforms where our customers can be reached (FB, IG, LinkedIn) Craft compelling email campaigns, newsletters, and social media content to boost engagement
• Create and publish original content: short-form copy, graphics (Canva), and short video/reels that reflect the Hyey brand and voice (realistic, relatable, trustworthy)
• Monitor engagement, respond to followers, and track what’s resonating
• Research trends in caregiving, aging, and the sandwich generation to inform timely, relevant content
• Bring us ideas we haven’t thought of. You have a fresh perspective.

Partnership & Community Outreach

• Research and identify potential partners, clients, and strategic opportunities aligned with company growth goals: caregiver groups on FB, aging-in-place communities, eldercare organizations, and relevant influencers and advocates
• Craft outreach messages and follow-up communications for partnership conversations
• Help track partnership outreach in HubSpot CRM: contacts, status, and next steps
• Support the development of simple pitch materials or one-pagers for partnership conversations

SEO & GEO Content Support

• Assist with writing and updating website copy optimized for search (SEO) and AI-generated answers (GEO/AEO)
• Help research keywords and questions our target audience is searching for
• Draft blog posts, FAQs, and resource content that positions Hyey as a trusted voice in the caregiving space
• Proofread and maintain site content for accuracy and brand consistency

What You Bring

• Active, fluent presence on social media. You understand what makes content perform
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a rigorous eye for detail, language, flow, grammar, and ability to adapt tone for different platforms and audiences
• Comfort with Canva or similar tools for basic visual content creation
• Genuine interest in caregiving, health tech, aging, social impact
• Self-starter who can work independently while keeping the founders in the loop
• Organized with good follow-through, meaning you don’t let things fall through the cracks
• Bonus: familiarity with WordPress, HubSpot, SEO basics, or Google Analytics
• Bonus: personal experience with caregiving or generally passionate about the senior community

• Location: Remote
• Hours: 15–20 hrs/week
• Duration: 8-10 weeks
• Compensation: $17.87/hr

LA County Subsidy Eligible Position Information 

Subsidy roles require students to have an LA County based address, and be between the ages of 18-24 years old. Once you are placed in a subsidy eligible position you will be required to present the following documents to processed in a Youth Center (AJCC):

• Identification (School or State ID).
• Social Security Card (Please ensure that it is signed).
• Birth Certificate.
• Proof of Los Angeles County Residency, including a postmarked date (Report Card, Transcripts, or any mail that is under the applicant’s name).
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination OR valid medical/religious exemption.
• The Youth Center (AJCC) will be paying you for 160 completed hours.
• You will be required to submit timesheets to your youth center (AJCC) to be paid for your time worked.

NOTE: IF YOU WERE ALREADY PLACED IN A SUBSIDY ELIGIBLE POSITION, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR ANOTHER SUBSIDY ELIGIBLE POSITION UNTIL JULY 1ST.
