Software Engineering Intern 


About Cinefind 

Cinefind is a platform that aggregates free in-theater movie screenings in real time, ranging from indies to major studio releases. Filmmakers can also book venue screens, and use sponsored pre-show advertising to lower venue rental costs 


Role Overview 

This role is focused on maintaining and expanding Cinefind's web infrastructure. You'll work with a small, tight-knit team to help manage our codebase, build new features, and optimize our data pipeline. This is a hands-on role with significant growth potential in a fast-moving startup environment 


Key Responsibilities 

● Assist with building and shipping basic pages using Next.js/React


Qualifications 

● Strong Python experience 

● Working knowledge of modern web development (JavaScript/TypeScript, React preferred) 

● Understanding of databases (MongoDB or similar NoSQL experience a plus) 

● Experience with ML is a plus

LA County Subsidy Eligible Position Information 


Subsidy roles require students to have an LA County based address, and be between the ages of 18-24 years old. Once you are placed in a subsidy eligible position you will be required to present the following documents to processed in a Youth Center (AJCC):


  • Identification (School or State ID).
  • Social Security Card (Please ensure that it is signed).
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Proof of Los Angeles County Residency, including a postmarked date (Report Card, Transcripts, or any mail that is under the applicant’s name).
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination OR valid medical/religious exemption.
  • The Youth Center (AJCC) will be paying you for 160 completed hours.
  • You will be required to submit timesheets to your youth center (AJCC) to be paid for your time worked.


NOTE: IF YOU WERE ALREADY PLACED IN A SUBSIDY ELIGIBLE POSITION, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR ANOTHER SUBSIDY ELIGIBLE POSITION UNTIL JULY 1ST.
