Software Engineering Intern

About Cinefind

Cinefind is a platform that aggregates free in-theater movie screenings in real time, ranging from indies to major studio releases. Filmmakers can also book venue screens, and use sponsored pre-show advertising to lower venue rental costs

Role Overview

This role is focused on maintaining and expanding Cinefind's web infrastructure. You'll work with a small, tight-knit team to help manage our codebase, build new features, and optimize our data pipeline. This is a hands-on role with significant growth potential in a fast-moving startup environment

Key Responsibilities

● Assist with building and shipping basic pages using Next.js/React

Qualifications

● Strong Python experience

● Working knowledge of modern web development (JavaScript/TypeScript, React preferred)

● Understanding of databases (MongoDB or similar NoSQL experience a plus)

● Experience with ML is a plus

LA County Subsidy Eligible Position Information

Subsidy roles require students to have an LA County based address, and be between the ages of 18-24 years old. Once you are placed in a subsidy eligible position you will be required to present the following documents to processed in a Youth Center (AJCC):

Identification (School or State ID).
Social Security Card (Please ensure that it is signed).
Birth Certificate.
Proof of Los Angeles County Residency, including a postmarked date (Report Card, Transcripts, or any mail that is under the applicant’s name).
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination OR valid medical/religious exemption.
The Youth Center (AJCC) will be paying you for 160 completed hours.
You will be required to submit timesheets to your youth center (AJCC) to be paid for your time worked.

NOTE: IF YOU WERE ALREADY PLACED IN A SUBSIDY ELIGIBLE POSITION, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR ANOTHER SUBSIDY ELIGIBLE POSITION UNTIL JULY 1ST.
