Social Media Intern
About SUMA
At SUMA, we aren't just a financial app; we are a movement. We are the financial co-pilot for the generation of firsts. The first to go to college, the first to become executives, the first to start businesses, and the first to build lasting wealth.
Money can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. Through our AI coaches Santi and Sofi, we help our community see their whole financial life in one place—from credit and loans to investments and retirement. We turn fragmented info into a simple roadmap so our community can build wealth for themselves and generations to come.
Are you ready to help us close the wealth gap and make "money talk" easier for everyone?
The Role
As our Social Media Intern, you are the voice and heartbeat of SUMA across the digital landscape. You won't just be managing accounts; you’ll be building a community. We’re looking for a storyteller who thinks outside the box, isn’t afraid to bend the rules of "traditional" finance, and has the creative ingenuity to turn a TikTok trend into a lesson on building generational wealth. If you have the creative chops to make personal finance feel as viral as the latest meme, you’re in the right place.
What You'll Do (The Mission)
-
Stay Ahead of the Scroll: Research current benchmark trends and audience preferences to keep SUMA at the center of the conversation.
-
Execute the Vision: Help create and implement a social media strategy alongside our Social Media Manager.
-
Create Daily Magic: Design, edit, and publish compelling daily content—think original text, eye-catching photos, viral-ready videos, and timely news updates.
-
Be the Heart of the Community: Engage with our followers, reply to DMs and comments with wit and empathy, and keep a pulse on what our community is feeling.
-
Optimize Everything: Keep an eye on SEO and traffic stats to make sure our message is reaching the people who need it most.
-
Collaborate & Align: Work with our marketing, sales, and product teams to make sure the SUMA brand is consistent and powerful across every platform.
-
Own the Aesthetic: Help oversee the look and feel of our accounts on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
-
Stay Sharp: Keep your toolkit updated with the latest design tools, apps, and platform features.
What You Bring (The Talent)
-
The Creative Spark: You have the ability to deliver original content (text, image, and video) that actually stops people from scrolling.
-
Copywriting Skills: You can write captions that are clear, punchy, and reflect the SUMA voice—smart, supportive, and a little witty.
-
Content Knowledge: You have practical experience with content management and know your way around the back end of social platforms.
-
Digital Savvy: You have a solid understanding of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics. You don’t just post; you look at the data to see what worked.
-
Multitasking Mojo: You can balance multiple projects at once without breaking a sweat.
-
Clear Communication: You know how to get your point across, whether you’re talking to a follower or presenting an idea to the team.
Why Join SUMA?
- You’ll get real-world experience at a mission-driven fintech startup. You’ll develop a strong portfolio of live work and get a front-row seat to how a modern brand is built. Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team that believes that when you understand how money works, you can change your future—and the future of your family.
